Lime vinaigrette on the side:

  • lime juice from 4 limes

  • 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper

  • pinch of salt

  • water to taste

This is a go-to for family dinner.

Make the beef and lay it on a platter of green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of chuck roast or ribeye, cubed

  • 10 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce

  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl until the meat is well covered

  2. Let marinade at room temperature for 30 minutes

  3. Alternatively, you can refrigerate until ready to cook - pull out 30 mins before cooking to sit at room temperature

  4. Heat a wok on high until steaming. When the meat sizzles when it hits the wok - it’s ready.

  5. Brown all of the meat, don’t stir too often - you want it to get a little crispy/charred
