Meat Sauce
This is my go-to meat sauce for lasagnas and pastas. It’s a thick sauce, not very watery/saucey.
Ingredients
15 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
1 4-8oz jar of sliced button mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 can of tomato paste
Instructions
Brown the meat over medium-high heat
Add the garlic, onions, and bell peppers. Cook until veggies are cooked through/soft
Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, seasonings, and mushrooms
Stir to combine
Simmer for 20-30 minutes
